Zephryn Conte, Music Director for Unity of Divine Love, is a multi-faceted artist, educator, healer and author with a rich professional career. Delighted to serve UDL with her passion for music, Zephryn, began her professional life as a teen in her native Boston, dancing with the Boston ballet and recording her first original music, and on-air commercial. She moved to NYC, where she earned a BA in Dance/Theater, and an MA in Education, dancing, singing, writing, and performing on the air, on numerous commercially released recordings, and in many notable New York theatrical venues.

Equal to her passion for performance is her dedication to personal growth and the healing arts, particularly through breath and sound. As a survivor of a near death car accident, Zephryn’s own healing journey led her to experience and become trained in several energy healing modalities, mantra and meditation. She has privately practiced as a healer and personal coach for 15 years. Through her company Environarts, Inc., Zephryn has designed and presented multi-year programs for the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA), the US Justice Department OJJDP), and the National Center for Conflict Resolution Education. She is co-author of the national resource guide The Art In Peacemaking and has written curricula and leadership manuals used by hundreds of teachers nationwide. She is a contributing author in Beacon Press’s, Schools with Spirit, Nurturing the Inner Lives of Children and Teachers, with a chapter "The Gift of the Arts. “

As an artist, Zephryn is excited about her new library of uplifting “New Thought” spirited music! She is an ASCAP composer with music appearing in feature films and on TV, and is co-author of Cayenne, a book of performance poetry, (which enjoys doing!). She has released 2 CD’s on her own Environarts Music label, Spirit Dances, and Zephryn Limited Edition, and remains professionally active on TV and radio in Arizona. Zephryn currently serves as the Arts Program Director for the Legacy Education Group, and is recording a new CD of her original new thought music, much of which can be heard at UDL’s Sunday services. She continues her work in private and group facilitation in both the Phoenix area, and in the red rocks of Sedona.
